The replacement of the early fuel pump 1542170 (two screws on the lid) with the newer version will require the purchase of the flexible hose 860447 for the 4-cylinder engines, and the flexible hose 860448 for the 6-cylinder engines. This flexible hose is placed between the fuel filter and the intake of the fuel pump.
Use of contaminated fuel or an old/wrong filter voids the warranty.
