PoseidonMarine® premium-quality trim ram cap kit for Volvo Penta:
- AQ290, AQ290DP
- SP-A, SP-A1, SP-A2, SP-E

The aforementioned drives may use two types of caps, especially since the DP-E and later models. As a rule of thumb, the diameter of your cap should be 39.80mm over the thread in order to choose this kit. The majority of 3860881 cylinders have a 39.80mm cap and use this kit, however it is strongly advised to observe the second picture, in order to determine if yours is the exclusion, a significant 10%.
PoseidonMarine® trim ram cap kit comes with pre-installed dust and pressure seal, bidirectional ring, o-rings and a new cap. The cylinder assembly is used only for guidance and is not included.
There are similar repair kits on the market that are faulty in design. The thread was not correct and as a result, the cap could be screwed by 3/4 of the thread. We used to sell these faulty kits, but thanks to your comments, we designed the cap from scratch as per the OEM and we guarantee 100% perfect fitment. Additionally, we improved the material of the bidirectional seal so that installation is easier and durability is highly increased.
